Worth the wait, this property took three years to be built by hand. Located on the Crispeen Trail, Saba's true eco property offers alternative lodging at affordable prices in a fully eco-setting  The 12 cottages were built by hand out of recycled and environmentally friendly construction materials.  Each cottage is painted differently by Heleen, a famous artist in the region and an owner of Ecolodge.  Operating on just wind and solar power, you can even feel good while sleeping here!  The on-site organic garden ensures truly garden fresh veggies with unmatched taste are served.  Accessible only by a hiking trail or The Mountain Road, I recommend this property to the more adventurous traveler who enjoys being one with nature and isn't paled by a hike or preplanning with a taxi.  

On Wednesdays, Tom gives a fabulous 'virtual tour' slide show about Mt. Scenery and can sometimes be convinced to take you on a hike--what a special experience to be had with this famous environmentalist.  And speaking of acclaim, Heleen, the island's most known artist, also schedules afternoon paid workshops.
