Andries Bonema has been running El Momo for over a year.  Els and Gied Mommers (the origin of the name El Momo) were the originals builders of El Momo. Two dive instructors, Angelika and Oliver purchased the property in 1997. The Hartleib's transformed the property creating the fabulous ambience that can be simply described with 3 words "peace, silence, nature".  After putting their heart and soul in to the property for 8 years and having 2 young school children to rear, they decided it was best to sell and have the children educated in their home country of Germany.  The sold to Andreis who continues to run El Momo with some assistants.

Be sure to take advantage of dining at El Momo any opportunity that you can.  From the home made breads at breakfast to the banana rum night cap, every part of the meal has a special personal touch, as does all aspects of this property.  Cottage in the Sky is like no where else!  A million dollar view, a fully eco love nest--does it get better? More cottage upgrades were put in place last summer so now you have more choices at El Momo  Turtle Cottage now also has a full kitchen and private bathroom.  Two other cottages have been upgraded with private bathrooms leaving just 3 cottages that share two facilities.  Still the best value on Saba and perhaps in the Caribbean--prices range from $52.50/night single to just $50/person for a super love nest, based on double occupancy.

El Momo is a 10 minute walk up a residential road from the island's main village of Windwardside. The perfect place to „free your mind“ awaits. A set of stairs leads you to six small wooden cottages which are surrounded by tropical flowers and palm trees with a view overlooking the hills and the Caribbean Sea. We are proud of our list of return clients but equally pleased with our resident iguanas, hummingbirds and treefrogs. Each cottage offers a private balcony with (of course!) a great view of the ocean.  The charming, shared bathroom building is located close to all cottages. In addition to our swimming pool El Momo also offers a cozy lounge area complete with a hammock near our honor bar. The famous El Momo breakfast includes homemade bread, fresh fruit, special coffee and a selection of teas. Ask about inclusive packages which include breakfast and other items.
