It's just hard NOT to
recommend Juliana's. This charming hotel has the ideal location
(on the rim of Windwardside yet very quiet), an excellent restaurant on
site, wonderful service-minded staff and a choice of room style. I
knew Franklin and Juliana, the builders and owners of this
property, for years. Almost 5 yeas ago, the property was sold to Wim and
Johanna Schutten. These newlyweds have brought new energy to Saba's
most popular hotel. The tradition of immaculate rooms and friendly
service continues but Wim and Johanna are busy enhancing the property as
well. The rooms, the apartment and the cottages have been warmed
with more tropical colors and artwork. A computer terminal has
been added to the recreation room with the addition of mini-bars and
hammocks in all rooms. New in 2005 are two jacuzzis--one for
general use in the pool area and another at Flossie's Cottage which is
exclusively for Flossie's occupants. Tropics Cafe is open daily for breakfast,
lunch and dinners with a crowd pleasing, affordable menu.
Juliana's offers options from
simple garden view rooms with kitchenettes to ocean view rooms, a 3-room
apartment (Mango--upgrades in late 2005) and two cottages. Orchid Cottage and Flossie's Cottage
have always been two of the most popular places on Saba. By
choosing one of the cottages, you can enjoy the services of the hotel
but also have the extra space of a house, the option of cooking in with
a fully equipped kitchen, and more privacy. See the

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
Nestled in the village of Windwardside, Juliana's offers their guests an
ambiance of "Old World" with intimate and charming guestrooms
but with modern conveniences from in room refrigerators, cable tv and
new in 2003, a computer terminal in their recreation room. Just a few minutes walk away guests can stroll through Main
Street with its boutiques, museum, restaurants, banks, grocery stores,
and much, much more.
Built in 1986 and with renovations ongoing throughout the years,
Juliana's decided to keep true to the local architecture of gingerbread
designs, while the décor is in a Caribbean setting. Owners Wim and Johanna bring new energy but the same service
our return clients are accustomed to.
