NOW BEING REFURBISHED AS "Shearwater Resort"

I'm not sure where else you'll find a view quite as extraordinary. Hands down, Shearwater boasts the best view on Saba. Start your day watching the sun rise from your cliffside bungalow private balcony with an easterly view of four islands and finish it awaiting a green flash as the sun sets in the west with a view nearly to Diamond Rock. Formerly Willard's of Saba this hotel is perched atop Booby Hill, 10 minutes walk from the main village of Windwardside. With the largest pool and the island's only tennis court, the property was formerly only assured of having the highest prices. I am so excited about the new energy and new attitudes managers Paul Cizek and Chris Fries have already brought to this special place. Out with the old and in wiith the new--from all new furnishings to a new standard of service. They will soon also offer a putting green and Wii fun in addition to a workout room and massage therapy. The bar has been relocated and the restaurant Bistro del Mare, promises to draw its own crowd with northern Italian cuisine (yum) with a Caribbean flair. So get excited about the fresh start @ Shearwater: proven management and excellent restaurant, still walkable to Windwardside. I recommend this unique hotel to clients looking for a special vacation and not afraid to pay a bit more for it. Call me for rates that you may find to be surprisingly within your reach.

Built in 1994 in the ancestral spirit of The Willard Hotel, Washington, D.C., Willard's offers spectacular views of the Caribbean and Atlantic Oceans and five neighboring islands from a dramatic cliffside location 2,000 feet above sea level. Views extend over 270 degrees to include Saba's highest point, the summit of Mount Scenery at 2,864 feet. This modern hotel is truly unique by design with seven elegant and spacious rooms with private balconies, tennis court, hot tub/jacuzzi, 20 by 40 foot solar heated swimming pool, bar/lounge, cable TV, and intimate restaurant with fireplace.

Room in the Sky is the highest room in the Kingdom, enjoy complete privacy perched on the edge of the sheer 2,000 feet cliff with panoramic ocean view from St. Barths to Monserrat. Do not be alarmed in the morning at the "smoke"..... it's only a friendly cloud which comes in through the doorway. Private bath, King size bed, cedar ceiling, overhead fan but the blanket may be needed since this room is definitely in the Caribbean Alps. Always cool, air conditioning not necessary and no mosquitoes. Ideal for honeymooners. Not for guests who suffer from acrophobia, but ideal for those who want to be alone together.

or The V.I.P. room is the most elegant room in the hotel (interior is pictured above). Over 1000 square feet of space including luxurious bathroom with shower, bathtub, and bidet. Cedar ceiling, two overhead fans, giant King size bed, sitting area, walk in closet, writing desk, mini bar, cable TV with more than 15 channels and Laser disc movies upon request. Also within a few feet of the hot tub/jacuzzi. Large wrap around balcony with sitting area to enjoy views of the four islands and spectacular romantic sunsets. Convenient to restaurant and pool.
