What are you looking for?  If you've based your vacation on diving, great; but the time you spend out of the water is equally important. Anyone can book you a hotel room.  Dive Saba Travel is the only company exclusively serving Saba.  Let me share my years of living on the island and special contacts to assure you of the best choices available.  This page is set up to give you my personal opinions on the properties.  Saba's no Silicon Valley (thank God!) but all of the hotels do have websites and I encourage you to browse them.  But don't forget to come back to this site for more information.  If you can narrow down your accommodations choices and give me a window of travel dates, I'll get started with a complete package quote including airfare.

Any hotel or cottage I recommend is clean, has friendly service, great views and a pool.  Don't make your decision purely based on per night room price. Use my legend and comments to give you a starting point.  Call me on my 800# or e-mail me with any questions from pricing to amenity particulars.

GREAT VALUE It's hard for me to call these properties "budget".  They offer priceless ambiance and specialized service.  15 minute walk into Windwardside.

  El Momo Cottages
Trade room service and a movie for a Caribbean sunset while you sip Angelika's private label banana rum. You will be showered by personal touches.  The little cottages, with traditional Saban red roofs are connected by stone pathways.  Each cottage has a private porch area to kick back.  The alfresco patio doubles as a honor bar and dining area.  Ollie is stringing hammocks among the king palm trees for your own hillside hideaway.  Be sure to look carefully into the trees and up  on the boulders for the huge Grandpa Iguana and his family.  Although the bathrooms are shared and all but one shower is solar, it's tastefully done and immaculately clean.   Call me to reserve the one cottage with a private bath.
    (honor bar)

Mountain Spring Villas New and modern on the inside but built in traditional Saban style.  Three separate villas each accommodate up to three couples.   Seedling trees and flowers dot the veranda area.  This place is perfect for friends or family who want to cook in or BBQ or who like an evening walk into town.  Reasonable car rentals can be arranged so that you can also explore the island.  You won't believe the dive package price for a party of six!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.
These hotels are popular with our divers as they are conveniently located to restaurants and shops in the main village of Windwardside.

  Juliana's
You get a real family feeling at this sweet little hotel that feels more like an inn.  Designed, owned and operated for 12 years by the friendly Johnson family--now under new managment (January 2003)...you'll feel like you've known these folks your whole life.  Juliana's prized hibiscus bushes and colorful gardens surround the walkways that lead to your room, apartment or private cottage.   A favorite for dive groups with the poolside dining and rec room where you can take a Nitrox course, stretch with Suzanne's yoga class, check your email and download your photos or even take a Pilates class.  Your new hosts, newlyweds Wim and Johanna, are super service oriented.  Their attention to guest needs has made some pleasant little changes:  mini bars (at reasonable prices) in each room, the rec room revamped with new decor and an internet station where you can check email or download your digital photos.  Flossie's Cottage is first on the list for a facelift--an interesting historical touch in line with the origins of this Circa 1865 cottage.  Watch for more updates on small touches in the rooms and property.  Meet Caroline and Steve, your hosts at Tropics Cafe for a healthier side of dining and her famous Saba Spice Daiquiri.  April Specials for last-minute travelers!

The Cottage Club  If you like the idea of a private cottage but hotel-style service, the Cottage Club can't be beat.  The cliff-side pool with views to English Quarter and Spring Bay is part of the package.  Local brothers, Dean, Mark and Gary also run the Big Rock Market.   Provide me with a list and I can arrange a first night sampling of Gouda cheese and wine or a weeks worth of groceries.

SOMETHING REALLY DIFFERENT.  The 2002 season brought us the return of The Gate House Hotel and Cafe and Eco-lodge Rendezvous, a fully eco-style lodge in the rainforest...

The Gate House  Perfect for a romantic getaway or single solitude.  Saba's boutique hotel has a stunning five-island view and cool northerly breezes.  Under new ownership, French born but world traveled Michel and Lyliane Job, are your new hosts.  The artwork and many charms  of former owners Jim Siegel and Manuella deGooje remain but the cafe is even better with a mix of Creole and fine French Cuisine.  They boast the largest wine collection with more than 60 wines which can be purchased by the glass or by the bottle.  Their special re-corking system makes wine sampling just part of your special evening.  Plan a longer trip and join Michel's cooking classes!

SPoil yourself.  Saba offers two hideaway luxurious resorts with beautiful furnishings, and loads of amenities (including hot tubs).  45 minute walk into Windwardside.

Queen's Garden Resort  Looking for a romantic, special place to get away from it all?  Tucked away in the rainforest of Troy Hill is this fabulous "must see" hotel.   Let the smell of angel trumpets and Caribbean breezes flow through your wall-size windows as you gaze at one of my favorite views "The Whales Tail" and Ladder Bay.  A four poster bed fills your master bedroom--notice hand carved pineapples etched into the posts. But be careful, on Saba pineapples in the bedroom mean fertility!  Surround yourself with twinkling tea lights and towering mango trees while you dine at Mango Royale.   Under new managment July 2002.

Willard's- Talk about a view!  Featured in American Express Traveler, Conde Naste, National Geographic Traveler, etc. etc.  Willard's of Saba is THE luxury hotel of Saba.  Perched on a cliff side with 180º outrageous panoramic view of the sea Willard's sports the island's largest pool, the only tennis court and a list of VIP's to match...a bit pricey in comparison to other Saba locales and more like a villa than a hotel--BUT, my new special might just tempt you!  Have a drink and cigar while you soak in the hot tub.   My package is the most affordable way to enjoy this luxury property--almost 50% off regular prices:

Bringing your family or traveling with another couple?  Saba has affordable private cottages, homes and villas from $500 to $2,000 per week.  Call me to find a place that's perfect for you.

Watch this website for my spreadsheet of private homes...
it will help you decide which is best for you.  In the meantime, just call me and tell me what you'e looking for:
